The
Cromarty Bridge is another relatively new bridge that has helped to
shorten the time taken to drive north. This picture was taken 15 January
2001 when there was snow on the surrounding hills. the bridge lies
13 miles north of Inverness and offers great views of the hills and in
either direction the Cromarty Firth. Just past the northern end of
the bridge seals are often to be seen swimming and basking in the
shallow water. Watch for many types of birds of prey. Turns
very green in springtime. |
