James Harris Catches A Big Trout
James Harris aged 9, from Keiss caught a very good trout recently at
Harpsdale Fisherie,s Halkirk. Manager George Sutherland weighed the fish in at 12lb 2oz
and it took James over 20 minutes to land it. James started fishing with his dad
when he was three years old and took a keen interest. He only learned how to fly fish last year.
Previously he had fished at the local Keiss harbour.
And he is as keen as ever having been given a new beach-caster at Christmas.
James uses some of his other spare time playing football and computer games with friends.
Harpsdale Fishery has Rainbow, Brook and Brown Trout in over 4 acres.
