Braemore
Caithness Field Club 28 October 2001
The Caithness field Club headed out to
try to see the Salmon spawning areas on the Berriedale Water
near Braemore. But few Salmon were seen due to the depth of the
river and the murky water
caused by the heavy flow. The group were shown places where it was known
that salmon regularly spawned
and a few were seen. The weather was very misty and rain fell although not
heavily for the morning.
Later Geoff Leet led a short walk to a Broch, Wag and Clearance
